She hit it big with such romantic classics as "Sweet Love" and took the world by storm, starting with her first headlining stint, The Rapture Tour, in 1986. Over the next decade, Baker kept conquering the charts as well as stages around the world, until 1994-95's Rhythm of Love tour. After a long hiatus, she came back strong in 2004 after signing to Blue Note Records, and she became a regular on the road once again. The length of our temporary closure is unclear at this time, but we are optimistic that it will only last a short while. Ultimately, that timing will be dictated by uncontrollable factors that we are hopeful will work in our favor sooner than later.

Although this process has been more painful to endure than we initially thought, we will get through this.

Kontrol Magazine launches online wedding vertical Kontrol Brides, a luxury wedding magazine to help stylish multicultural women plan their weddings. The bridal edition will feature editorials such as trend reports, ideas for wedding planning, decor, fashion and accessories, and coverage of real weddings.

Also starring as "Shirley" in "Madea’s Big Happy Family" the stage play. Who can forget her show stopping performance as Loretta in KANDI BURRESS’s (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) "A Mother's Love” and the movie Madea’s Big Happy Family as the choir soloist, Sister Laura. CHANDRA is the former lead singer of The legendary recording group The S.O.S. Band, replacing the original lead singer.

 | Rhonda Ross has been described as a cross between Jill Scott and Nina Simone. Video, however, only begins to capture how much her poetic compositions and profound performances sizzle! Similar to her legendary mother, Diana Ross, Rhonda holds audiences in the palm of her hand. She writes and performs fierce, heart-felt songs in order to examine the world in which she lives and through it all, asks “In the midst of THIS, how can I still be free?” It has become evident that Rhonda not only has the talent, but also the significance to carry on her parents’ legacy, all while establishing her own unique musical destination. Rhonda’s most recent release, In Case You Didn’t Know, is available everywhere music is sold. |
 | Rodney Kendrick is, simply stated, a master of his craft. He is that rare breed of pianist/composer - old school in his percussive, rhythmic approach, yet ultimately contemporary and responsive to the current moment. His credits include touring with James Brown and Parliament before becoming the accompanist/musical director for vocalist, Abbey Lincoln. Profoundly influenced by pianists Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, and Randy Weston, Rodney’s playing reflects the intricate ancestral history of Black American Classical Music. His most recent CD is titled, The Colors of Rhythm and is on the Impulse! label. |
