On December 17th, a series of captivating and thought-provoking discussions unfolded during E-Line Media‘s Authors Panel: “Just Another Black Girl”. The panel discussion was hosted and moderated by Jermaine Sain of When We Speak TV, alongside co-moderator Wilson A. of E-Line Media, and featured the incredible authors Tangela Huggins, Shateasha Reese, and Keona A. Barnett. Together, these women courageously opened up about their personal stories and their process of growth and healing.

Born into the absence of a father’s love, Keona’s journey revolves around overcoming resentment, finding light in dark tunnels, and breaking free from toxic relationships. The book underscores the importance of faith in God and finding joy in simple things as a path to a fulfilling and wholesome life.
During the discussion, the panelists revealed how early-life experiences had a profound impact on their self-perception and journey through life. They discussed breaking free from the negativity instilled in them from a young age, emphasizing the importance of challenging these learned perspectives.
