The one-hour music special, produced in partnership with the NFL, will be taped on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Pearl Theater, Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas. This celebration, commemorating its silver anniversary, seamlessly blends the exhilaration of football with the inspiring sounds of award-winning artists and acclaimed musicians from diverse genres.

For a quarter-century, the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration has captured hearts worldwide, bridging cultures and igniting inspiration. Arthur McAfee, NFL Senior Vice President for Football Operations, expressed pride in this storied tradition, calling it a multicultural celebration of togetherness.

The 2024 Super Bowl Soulful Celebration is set to be a heartfelt tribute to resilience and achievement, as it honors remarkable individuals within the NFL community. Damar Hamlin of The Buffalo Bills will be awarded the prestigious “New Beginnings” Award, acknowledging his unwavering dedication, resilience, and inspirational journey in overcoming obstacles to achieve success.

The “HBCU Player of The Year” award will be bestowed upon Markquese Bell of The Dallas Cowboys, proudly representing FAMU alumni.

Rising star C.J. Stroud from the Houston Texans will be recognized with the esteemed “Faith in Action” Award for his impactful work in uplifting the community through the CJ Stroud Foundation.

Adding to the accolades, the “Lifetime of Inspiration” award will be presented to former NFL player, CBS Mornings Co-Host, and Host of NFL Today, Nate Burleson. This distinguished award joins the ranks of previous honorees such as Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, Tim Brown, Russell Wilson, Tony Dungy, and Troy Vincent, among others.

Additionally, the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration introduces the inaugural “ESSENCE Glass Ceiling Breaker Award presented by Mielle.” This groundbreaking award pays tribute to outstanding women of color who’ve shattered barriers in the NFL, with honorees including Dasha Smith and Kimberly Fields from the NFL, and Sandra Douglas of the Las Vegas Raiders. It’s a celebration of achievement, inspiration, and breaking down barriers in the spirit of soulful harmony.
