Bridging Country Music and Other Genres
We’ve seen how country music is evolving to include diverse voices and influences. In 2023, When We Speak TV had the chance to interview rising country artist Tiera Kennedy during Nashville’s “Let Freedom Sing” celebration. Tiera, who is featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, is an example of how artists are blending country, pop, and R&B to create something entirely new—a path that Elizabeth is also carving with her contributions to Giddy Up!
Patrick Cunningham and the Creative Vision Behind Giddy Up!
One of the driving forces behind Giddy Up! is Patrick Cunningham. Known for his genre-defying work, Cunningham’s previous albums, such as Ethereal Wonders (2024) and Be Reborn (2022), highlight his commitment to musical innovation. His vision for Giddy Up! was to bring together diverse talents like Elizabeth to push the boundaries of contemporary country music. The result is a project that’s both authentic and forward-thinking.
