Tiera Kennedy is back—and she’s reminding us all why she’s one of the most exciting voices in country music today. Her brand new single, Somebody Like You, is a heartfelt ballad rooted in vulnerability, love, and the deep human need for connection. It’s not just a song—it’s an experience that lingers.
With stirring lyrics like:
“Everybody needs somebody. Somebody to lean on… Water your roots. Up your downs to get you through. Everybody needs somebody. Somebody like you.”
…it’s clear that Tiera has poured her heart into this one.
She co-wrote the track with Cameron Bedell and Jared Scott, blending classic country warmth with modern soul and gospel influences. Directed by Kamren Kennedy, the music video complements the message perfectly—set against the beautiful backdrop of Tennessee farmland.
From Nashville Beginnings to Country Spotlight
When We Speak TV has been fans of Tiera for a while. We first met her at the Let Freedom Sing celebration in Nashville—a July 4th event in Music City. Even back then, she radiated star power and sincerity. We had the chance to chat with her about her music, dreams, and what inspires her.
She’s Not New to Making Waves
Tiera Kennedy continues to rise—and not just with solo projects. Earlier this year, she was also featured on a track with Beyoncé, as part of the Cowboy Carter movement that blended country and soul across generations and genres. That historic moment marked another huge step in Tiera’s journey.
